Job offer: Territory Manager

US - Pacific Northwest Territory (Washington, Oregon & Alaska)

We are currently looking for a Territory Manager in the Seattle area. This position reports to the Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a culinary passion who will be a brand ambassador of the ZWILLING JA HENCKELS brands; ZWILLING JA HENCKELS, JA HENCKELS INTERNATIONAL, MIYABI, Staub and Demeyere in department and specialty stores.


Primary Purpose

The Territory Manager must be a self-motivated professional with a culinary passion and solid accomplishments in sales, merchandising, training and customer service processes. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to effectively communicate corporate strategies and develop tactical business plans to effectively manage and grow independent retailers for the company brands.

Responsibilities

Communication
•Primary point of communication
•Maintain open communication with Management, Training / Merch. team, Cust. Serv., Sales Planning / Analysts and Colleagues
•Updates on individual account, advertising/marketing, space allocations and adjacencies, visual opportunities, assortment changes, forecast, customer meetings and competitive set

Business Management
•Promote and sell all product categories to Independent / gourmet retail stores. Build and maintain lasting relationships with store owners, buyers, managers and selling associates
•Accountable for written and net shipped business
•Creation and implementation of business plans for achieving incremental account growth and potential new accounts
•Sales analysis and trouble shooting
•Assortment planning and analysis
•Account opening/exiting analysis and recommendations
•Creation and implementation of sales incentives
•Negotiate space allocations, brand adjacencies and visual opportunities
•Collaborate on advertising opportunities with Sales Manager and Marketing department

Administrative
•Management of Fiscal Budgets
oMSA: Co-op and Sales Promotion
oRTV: Stock Balance / Damages
oSales Trainings & Seminars
oPOS: Fixtures / Visuals
oTravel & Expense

•Reporting
oRetail Sales: weekly, monthly, STD, YTD for Key accounts
oMonthly sku sell-thru for each Key account
oProduct forecasting
oNet shipments and returns status
oWeekly Call Reports

•Order Maintenance
oOpen orders (cancel/ship dates)
oAdvertising and Sample order follow up


Job Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years field sales experience in branded consumer products
-Minimum 4 year college degree
-Sound Organizational Skills: planning, expediting, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks and meeting corporate deadlines
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work autonomously and effective time management
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-Willingness to travel overnight. Approximately 50% - 60%
