Job offer: Supply Chain Manager

OBJECTIVE:
Supply Chain Manager must be a self-motivated, creative, strategic and tactical thinker and planner, balancing the needs of both company and customer. Must have solid experience with managing all supply chain functions, including production planning, forecasting, material procurement, inventory control, warehousing, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Must possess the ability to effectively develop, manage and execute plans with keen attention to strategic goals, detail, accuracy and timing. Must ensure complete alignment and a cohesive supply chain organization throughout the company.
SCOPE:
Supply Chain Manager will manage a team of currently three analysts in a dynamic team environment working together to build a seamless supply chain. Responsibilities of the Supply Chain team include:
• analytical duties related to day-to-day demand analysis
• purchase order management
• logistics and transportation management
• warehouse management
• production planning
• inventory replenishment planning
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: CFO / VP Operations
Direct Reports: 2 Full-time and 1 Part-time Supply Chain Analysts
Works closely with: VP Sales, Sales and Marketing team members, Warehouse, Culinary Relations, Customer Service, Finance, buyers, vendors and outside suppliers
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take the lead role in overseeing, coordinating and planning of Supply Chain Operations - from Inventory Planning, Purchase/Order Management, Production planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse management and coordination and Vendor Management.
• Review existing procedures and examines opportunities to streamline production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting to meet a company’s needs.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and Product development to coordinate new introductions, promotions and overstock/discontinued items list.
• Define, maintain and monitor optimal inventory levels in accordance with Working Capital goals.
• Understand Customer business profiles and service expectations. Adjust Supply Chain activities to meet customer expectations.
• Insure high level customer service/fill rate (95%-97%) and high inventory turns.
• Effectively report on Supply Chain status including inventory position and utilization.
• Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend promotions and corrective action.
• Implement actionable savings opportunities to minimize product costs and maximize manufacturing income and direct operating income.
• Direct staff on Supply chain activities from Inventory planning, Purchase Order Management, Production planning, Inventory Management and Warehouse coordination.
o Check the potential stock-out due to the demand change, purchasing delivery delay, etc on the real time base and immediately take action to ensure material availability.
o Analyze the root causes of stock outs and immediately take corrective action.
o Closely work with sales and marketing team to confirm any unexpected sales spikes and trends on a real time base.
o Confirm purchase orders with vendors including price, delivery date, minimum order quantity, unit of measure etc.
o Expedite purchase orders to ensure supplier on-time delivery by closely working with the international logistics team and buyers.
o Closely work with the warehouse and receiving teams to ensure the on-time receiving and accurate on-hand inventory records.
o Maintain accurate data in our systems and purchasing records.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, policies and practices throughout the company that ensure the correct balance of quality, delivery, and lowest total cost.
• Direct all supply chain projects to ensure that they are on time and within budgetary controls.
• Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

➢ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Transportation, Operations Management, or related business discipline is required
➢ At least 5 years Supply Chain Management experience in branded Consumer Products company. Manufacturing / Sourcing knowledge and Housewares knowledge a plus.
➢ Strong knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, inventory replenishment planning, and forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues within Consumer Packaged Goods Industry required.
➢ Strong communicator and team player with the ability to integrate and work effectively in cross-functional environments.
➢ Ability to facilitate and accelerate the business relationship based upon an understanding of the customer. Includes the ability to actively listen and engage in conversation to uncover relevant information, resources and solutions
➢ Demonstrated sound decision-making, problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure.
➢ Detail oriented, attention to extreme accuracy and extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
➢ Excellent organizational skills in both planning and execution, managing multiple tasks with accuracy, and meeting corporate deadlines
➢ Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
➢ Ability to work autonomously; effective time management skills
➢ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and AS400 systems. PowerPoint a plus.
➢ CPIM by APICS, CPSM by ISM, or other equivalent certification is a big plus
